Privacy and Cookie Policy
How this site uses cookies, what data is collected and how you can control it.
Last updated: 2 July 2026
Who we are
SamsungFridge.co.uk is an independent review and information website about Samsung refrigerators sold in the UK. We are not affiliated with Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. If you have any questions about this policy or your personal data, contact us via the contact page.
Cookies we use
We only set analytics and advertising cookies with your consent. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. Your choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage so we do not ask on every page.
| Category | Provider | Purpose | Set without consent? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consent preference | This site (local storage) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined cookies | Yes (strictly necessary) |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 | Anonymous statistics about pages visited, so we can improve the site | No |
| Advertising | Google AdSense | Displays adverts that fund the site; may personalise ads based on your Google settings | No |
Managing your consent
You can change your mind at any time:
- Use the cookie settings link (also in the footer of every page) to reopen the consent banner.
- Clear this site's data in your browser settings, which removes both your consent choice and any cookies already set.
- Opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Control how Google personalises adverts at Google Ads Settings.
What data is collected
If you accept cookies:
- Google Analytics records the pages you visit, your approximate location (country or city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We do not see your name, email address or precise location, and we do not combine analytics data with any other information about you.
- Google AdSense may use cookies to show adverts relevant to you and to measure ad performance. Google acts as an independent controller for this data. Details are in Google's privacy and terms documentation.
We do not run accounts, newsletters or comment systems, and the site itself does not collect or store any personal data on its own servers. If you email us via the contact page, we use your email address only to reply and do not add it to any marketing list.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a product, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Retailers may use their own cookies to attribute the sale; those cookies are governed by the retailer's own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase personal data held about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Because this site holds no personal data itself, such requests usually concern Google's processing; you can exercise them through your Google account or by contacting us and we will help where we can. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site uses cookies or handles data, we will update this page and, where the change is significant, ask for your consent again.
